In the dreadful aweful world human's lived in during this dark time. At some place, a boy threw a paper plane into the air...

Life was quite, the unfortunate one for many individual's. More so then others. Which was sad but true. There was one individual in particular. One that seemed to appear to have a good home, clean clothes, taken very good care of and yet....This person never truly felt happiness.

Alexander After, was his name, better referred to as A. A thirteen year old boy, with bright blue eye's, pale skin, and messy black hair.

Life could be called 'dull' for the most part for A. He was, unwell and was kept in the hospital. His family of course tried their hardest to make sure he was alright and he was fine.

After all, A was not living to well. He could not hear too well at the time. But then it was on that one day, he had gotten bored and wanted out of the dull cold hospital he resided in.

The boy got up out of his bed and snuck off into another room. Slipping out of his hospital wear and putting on his jeans, blue shirt, blue goggle's around his neck. His hands began to place his scarf over his shoulder's letting it hang over them and lastly grab his blue and white sun hat placing it over his head. Once he had slipped on some shoes A immediately bolted out of the room.

Sneaking out of the hospital was surprisingly easy for A as he made his way off to see where his father worked. He didn't really know why he wanted to go to where his father worked. Perhap's to see what was going on or something?

His father never really gave A any detail's as to what exactly he did at 'work'. But A was a rather innocent minded boy and continued walking through the grass until he had come to an abrupt stop looking at the barbed wire. Obviously not going any closer, since he did not want to get hurt.

His blue eye's looked at the place and he began to smile dully. His eye's continued to drift about the area until they suddenly looked at a boy who had walked over.

This boy appeared to be probably around the same age, maybe a year older. A could see that this boy looked mighty dirty, even blood on his skin and clothes. Clothes ragged, messy and dirt smudged. His hair wild and messy, with blood sticking to some bit's. Then of course the boy's eye's....They were, a crimson red color. They probably stood out the most. But even though this boy was so messy, and covered in blood, dirt and bruises, A didn't seem to mind in the slightest.

But then again, A also didn't know or understand that this boy was probably being tortured or in pain.

None the less A's face began to turn into something of confusion when he looked at the boy seeing his lips move but not able to really hear exactly what he was saying.

But the boy never really had anyone to talk to, and this boy looked so very nice. Maybe....they could become friends of sorts?

So A began to reach into his pockets pulling out some blank paper and a pencil. His eye's looking up at the red eye'd boy once more noticing the boy had a rather anxious expression upon his face.

A began to smile faintly as he began to write onto the paper. His hand-writing neat, clean and accurate as he made sure to keep from making any mistakes as he wrote down his words onto paper.

Finally once he had finished hand-writing onto the neat white paper he had then began to fold each corner accordingly into a paper plane. The boy had then looked back up to the red eye'd boy and pointed to the paper plane, smiling and throwing it into the air. Watching it soar into the sky and float over to the other boy's side of the barbed wire.

Once it had reached it's destination, A watched with a faint smile on his face as the boy picked up the plane, unfolding it and reading it.

'Hello,

Forgive me, I can not hear very well.
You don't mind if I write to you do you? Maybe we could be friends?'

A continued to smile watching as the red eye'd boy looked upwards after reading the paper plane and motioning for him to wait. So, Alex did just that.

Soon enough the elder boy returned and quickly after writing back to A in a fast motion, seeming to write quickly and obviously filled with excitement. A just continued to smile until he soon saw the other boy's paper plane flying over the barbed wire over towards him. The small paper plane landing right into A's hands.

Unfolding the paper, A began to read the other boy's response.

'It's alright. I don't mind at all!
This place really isn't any fun.

I've never had a friend before, I'd really like that,'

A had began to smile brightly looking towards the red eye'd boy and soon enough he was writing once more. Another response to the other boy.

Then another, and another, and another.

The two had become quite entertained by the paper planes and talking to eachother through them.

Every day, A would go off and see that older boy on the other side of the barbed wire. Everyday seemed to be a happy one for the boy. Even though he wasn't well and was residing in a hospital.

It became week's, then month's. Each and every day, A went to see that boy he'd become closer and closer to that boy. Yet they were still devided by that barbed wire.

A would rest in his hospital bed reading each paper plane every day. Smiling warm and happy smile's thinking of that red eye'd boy. The paper plane's made him blush, and feel warm and happy inside.

'So this is what love is like...?' A had thought to himself giggling to himself one day as he rested in his hospital bed reading over the newest paper plane.

Suddenly, A's eye's had looked up as he felt the paper being pulled out of his hands. His eye's meeting those of his father's. A's head tilted in confusion and his hands reading out weakly for the paper plane.

It was then that Alex's father read over the letter looking back at A with a cold and angered look.

"You are not allowed to see that boy anymore!" He had shouted, surely loud enough for A to hear.

A's eye's widened and he flinched watching his father begin to crumple the paper into a ball, dropping it out of his hands. A's eye's wide and filled with confusion and sorrow, while his father walked out of the room.

Alexander just couldn't understand. He was confused, and upset. Could his father not see that, that boy's existense actually meant a lot to him,? Why was he being torn away from this boy all of a sudden like this? That boy was what kept A's life going instead of giving up to his illness.

Tears rolled down A's face as he had cried. He had grown to love that boy very much over time and now he could no longer see the one he loved the most....

Each day, A could feel the number of tubes increasing. The ones that were now on many parts of his body. He could no longer walk very well either. He knew he had pretty much given up hope. He felt dispare every day.

The blue eye'd boy could no longer hear as good as he used to. It was difficult to hear much of anything anymore for him.

His eye's became to close for a second. Slowly opening and looking down at the clean white piece of paper he had written. He knew his fate was already set. He knew that the end would be near soon. A could just feel it.

A needed to see that boy....That red eye'd boy. Atleast once more. Before he died. Before his life would come to an end. A didn't want that boy to worry about him. He cared for that boy so very much and loved him that he just needed to do this.

His hand weakly grasped ahold of each and every tube attached to his body pulling them out. Biting down on his bottom lip as he reached out for the wall and began to weakly make his way over to where he kept his other attire he wore to go outside.

It really was tiresome. Weak was how A felt, very very weak. He could tell his body was growing weaker and weaker. Infact, he was surprised he was able to even be able to get out of the hospital and make his way through the grass.

His willpower, just to see that boy he loved so very much one last time was what kept him going. He ran the whole way. Finally coming to a stop and looking up at the barbed wire seeing that boy once more.

The red eye'd boy looked at A and smiled brightly. A smiled back at the older boy and held up a paper plane pointing to it and forcing himself to look happy....Even though he was filled with sorrow.

Forcing that fake smile on his face he had then thrown the paper plane into the air and watched as it made it's way over to the other boy. A stood still watching as the boy read over that final paper plane, the one written with true love in each word.

'I'm sorry,

But I am moving very far away. I will no longer be able to see you anymore.'

The boy had looked back up after reading the words on the piece of paper. Eye's blinking and his head tilting in confusion.

A lifting his sunhat up abit smiling a bright smile. He just couldn't let that boy see his tears. Of course trying to be strong wasn't one of the things A was exactly good at.

Slowly turning around and beginning to walk away when suddenly he came to a halt.

"I'll be waiting for you! Until you return!"

A's eye's began to widen his eye's filling with tears. Soon feeling the tears roll down his face as he began to walk off back to the hospital...

At the hospital things seemed to spiral downwards for A, he felt himself collapse to the ground and the doctor's and nurses rushed him back to his room placing him on his bed and placing tubes back in place and many new ones and such.

A's breathing was ragged and his eye's were wide with pain slowly closing so he could finally rest...

But little did he know that his father had been there when he had returned.

A's father had returned to work the next day. Dressed in his attire and made his way over to where Beyond Birthday's cell was kept.

He had already ordered some gaurds to go ahead of him and pinning the boy to the ground.

B had looked upwards as A's father had took each paper plane and began to rip each and every single one of them.

The man could hear those faint whimpering "no's" B had pleaded and pleaded for him not to destroy the precious paper planes.

However A's father continued to shred each and every one of them.

Before him or the gaurds knew it, B had made it to his limit's and snapped breaking free from being pinned and aimed a hard punch to the man's face. He had stumbled back abit. A hand moving to cover the spot he'd been punched his eye's wide then suddenly turning cold as the other gaurds grasped hold of B again and he motioned for them to end the boy's existense.

A's father had watched as the boy, Beyond Birthday, was dragged off to the gas chamber's and thrown in like he was garbage. Well he was garbage to A's father anyways.

B's life ending, in sorrow and A's father leaving to return to the hospital a happier individual to have the one his son loved out of the picture.

A couple of month's had past since the day he had said good bye to the one he loved. Alexander After could no longer move what so ever. His life was burning out and it was obvious. He didn't care though...

He wished he hadn't have pretended to be strong, and now, now it was to late to show those true emotions to that boy.

Far too late.

But A wanted to see him, see that boy smiling.

'I want to see you'

'I want to see you'

"One more time," A gasped out. One hand holding one of the paper planes given to him by that boy, slowly losing grip and letting it fall to the ground. The sound of beeping in the hospital could be heard by the nurses and doctor's, slowly slowing down....to nothing.

But a flower that does not have any sunshine is surely to die right? That flower, A, no longer had his sunlight and he was ripped from it landing himself into despair and darkness. Slowly slipping away over time.

A's eye's opened looking up to see his father, then slowly closing and giving out his last breath.

Finally, he could rest in peace and be reunited with the one he loved so dearly, Beyond Birthday.

Ah god, this one....This one just is god....So sad compared to Prisoner!

I'm glad I wrote this story though....It's so sad....Yet so very touching and beautiful.

I just hope I didn't fail at Death Note-ifying it.

As you guy's can probably tell, This ones from A's point of view and it explain's why A had to "go far away" if you know what I mean.

So yes it's done....and it made me bawl writing this. >.o
